Located just 29 km north of Lake Louise and 6 km south of Crowfoot Glacier on the Ice fields Parkway in the geographic middle of Banff National Park, HI-Mosquito Creek Wilderness Hostel is a rustic and peaceful accommodation suitable for any nature lover.

After a busy day of activities, warm up in front of the hostel's cosy fireplace or unwind in the sauna. HI-Mosquito Cree' Wilderness Hostel offers a back-to-nature 'off-the-grid' wilderness experience which means that the hostel is very simple by nature with no phone, no electricity, no showers or flush toilets. Outhouse toilets are available.

It is an excellent place for backpackers and adventure travellers to base all their outdoor pursuits from hiking, cycling, climbing, as well as incredible nature photography. The hostel is close to excellent ice climbing, cross-country ski trails and an extensive network of hiking trails.

This is a wilderness hostel and it goes above and beyond in every aspect. Outside of the rather frosty manager Richard, we liked everything else about it! Highlight is the fireplace!
