This chalet-style hostel is located 7km southwest of the town of Jasper, with spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. Boasting access to numerous hiking trails, including one that leads right to the summit of The Whistlers Mountain, in Winter, these trails are perfect for cross-country skiing. Tthis is an ideal hostel for those wishing to experience mountain life.

HI - Jasper provides free Internet access, wood furnishings, common room and a library collection. Jasper Tramway is 20 km away. Guests have access to a shared bathroom and shared kitchen. Bicycle rentals are available on site.

With lots of outdoor activities, beautiful sights, shops and fine dining, visitors have endless options to choose from! Ski lift tickets are available at a discount to nearby Marmot Basin, a world-class ski resort and Jasper Yellowhead Museum is less than 15 minutes’ drive away.

Considering it is a 'wilderness' hostel, it is quite comfortable. Unfortunately, the one thing that bugged me was the lack of lighting for path to toilets and bungalows. Ran into a few trees and a boulder more than once - TAKE A TORCH coz the solar lights do nothing! I loved the fact of no TV or internet - we had no choice but to play cards or board games and the youngies thoroughly enjoyed themselves with no distractions! :-)
