The dorm situation was as expected, but I assume it was just coming into dead season, there were no hostel activities organised at all. Seems like just one person running the place and if you arrive/need help whilst they're busy or doing the shuttle run, you could be waiting a while.

Thank you for providing feedback regarding your stay. During the winter season, we do run a Smores night on most Saturdays, when we have staff available, however we do not have other organized activities during the winter season due to a smaller staff and smaller number of guests. That said, guests are welcome to have a fire at our indoor fireplace, or our outdoor firepit any night. As we are a small hostel, we do usually have only one staff member on duty, so it is possible during the winter months that guests may need to wait for about a half hour for assistance from a staff member. We do our best with a small but dedicated staff to create a welcoming space and to guide guests towards experiences in the National Park. We hope you had a enjoyed your time in Jasper.

Overall our stay was very good. A refresh of the kitchen equipment, cutlery, pots and pans etc won't go amiss.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad to read that you enjoyed your stay. We have recently purchased a few new sets of pots and pans to replace some of the older ones in our kitchen, and do monitor and regularly replace the kitchen tools and cutlery as needed. We hope you enjoyed your visit to Jasper National Park.

This is no place to stay if you want to visit Jasper without a car. Even hitch hiking is very hard because there is almost no traffic driving up and down from the hostel. More efforts to extend the shuttle service or to promote car sharing are needed. Or at least make the bike rental available in winter as well (fat bikes or something, i dunno :))

Nous avons aimé l'emplacement, le dortoir, la cuisine. Les choses à améliorer : séparer par une porte la cuisine et le dortoir pour éviter les odeurs. Renouveler les livres et les jeux. La conexion internet est mauvaise.

Clean the washroom and make sure more than one toilet is working, and that people respect the rules of quiet times.
