We stayed in a dorm room. When you open the dorm door to go to the washroom at night a bright automatic light comes on. It's impossible to leave the dorm while others are sleeping without disturbing them with the light, especially those in the beds next to the door. That's a small thing and I guess if you are sleeping in a dorm you should bring an eye mask anyway! The new hostel is great and a big improvement in location and accomodations.

This place deserves the rave reviews it has been getting. It is clean and the common areas are very comfortable. The rooms were spacious enough and our room had a great view. The kitchen was a bit small; not enough prep space but there was a lot of fridge space.
