Difficult time with roudy guests. Drinking and loud noise began around 10.45pm and continued until I had to get up and ask for quiet around 11.40pm. Had a number of grandfondo riders trying to get some sleep.

Hello. Thank you for leaving this review. I am so sorry that you had to deal with noisy guests. Typically we post signage on the eve of all sporting events letting guests know that quiet hours will be from 9pm onward. Please contact me directly with any other concerns and if you are planning another visit to Penticton and the Hostel let me know as I would like to offer a room upgrade/discounted rate for you and any travelling companions. I hope you enjoyed the Granfondo despite this annoyance. Lisa Manager

I found my single room to be quite comfortable and quiet.

Be aware that the hostel is in an older wooden building with very thin walls so you hear every creak, doors opening/closing (slamming), bathroom fans, etc., so bring ear plugs. My private room was comfortable, but would become very hot in the summer. During my stay, there were a few inconsiderate hostellers (migrant workers) that got up at 2 am to go to work & had loud phone conversations on speaker phone in the common areas. Staff did little to educate these folks on proper hostel etiquette.
