Hostel Whistler

Hostelling International

Welcome to our hostel

Opened in July 2010, the HI-Whistler hostel is a purpose-built hostel that was originally used as part of the Whistler Athletes' Village during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. This brand new facility sets the standard in hostelling with all the amenities you'd expect and then some.

Canada's west coast playground and home of Whistler's best rated hostel, if you love adrenaline highs, Whistler is the place for you! From skiing, boarding, mountain biking and bungee jumping to zip lining, white water rafting, snowmobiling and ATVing, Whistler has got it all.

There's more to HI-Whistler than just a place to bed down for the night. Grab a coffee, a snack, a meal and a beer or wine glass at Cheaky's Café in the hostel lobby, lounge on the outdoor decks with mountain views, store your bike, skis, and boards in the equipment storage room, hang out in the media room with its 52" HDTV and meet some cool new folks over a free game of pool in the games room.

Far better to book a good quality hostel than a mediocre hotel where you will pay twice as much per night. The hostel staff are friendly and approachable, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and there's plenty of advice given about what to do and where to eat so you'll never be out of ideas to make the most of your time in Whistler. I did, and I would gladly book again at HI Whistler.
