Welcome to our hostel

HI-Whistler is a purpose-built, modern hostel with all the amenities you'd expect and more. This hostel is Whistler's biggest, offering budget accommodation in shared and private rooms in a brand new neighbourhood just minutes from the ski slopes.

The Whistler hostel offers: dorms with ensuite bathrooms, private ensuite rooms, family-friendly rooms , on-site café with outdoor patio, theatre-style meeting room (seats 60), TV lounge and large games room, self-catering kitchen with dining room, BBQ deck with mountain views, state-of-the-art ski/snowboard/bike storage and a fireplace.

Before the Whistler hostel opened on July 1, 2010, the hostel filled an important role as part of Whistler's athletes' village for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The Village offers all the amenities of most large cities. It is linked by the Village Stroll, a pedestrian-only causeway that flows from Lorimer Road in the north to Skiers Plaza at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

It was difficult to adjust the temperature in the room. Turning the setting up actually caused the temperature to be lowered.

Overall good experience😊, but - you might wanna wipe off the doors on the frigdes in kitchen. - regarding enviromental awareness; consider the amount of water used when people doing their dishes!! - when fire alarm goes on; its important with information ! Regardless if there is a fire or not! Staff did good, but clearly had no experience or knew what kind of role to take! A few details to inprove on, but overall you have a nice hostel with great staff!!

Hi there, Unfortunately, what you see on our fridge doors is not dirt. It is a chemical burn on the chrome left behind from a contractor's work. We are awaiting to see how to proceed, because we cannot wipe it off. Thanks for your feedback, we will use it to help us improve!
