7 Entries

Triglav National Park is the only national park in Slovenia. Situated in the Julian Alps, this stunning region is in the North-West of the country. The national park takes its name from Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia, and encompasses most of the peaks in the country all with dizzying heights of over 2000m. The mountains are criss-crossed with well-marked paths, which enable you to take in the stunning landscapes and views from the peaks and valleys of the Triglav National Park. If you have time; must-sees are the Vintgar and the Tolmin River gorges, you will be amazed by their natural beauty. The park is also a place of many gorgeous waterfalls; Savica and Peričnik are among the nicest. Don’t miss the biggest glacier lake in Slovenia - Lake Bohinj, which is coincidentally a great summer destination, with many water sport activities.
