South Africa BBE 2014 10 day itinerary
Last year our Big Blog Exchange winners exchanged countries, blogs and cultures with each other for 10 days - and this year sees the turn of 16 new bloggers!
South Africa boasts a wealth of diversity, culture and natural beauty. Come face to face with the wildlife, enjoy the vibrancy of the cities or simply relax on one of it's stunning beaches.
Arrive in Cape Town, affectionately known as The Mother City. You will be transferred to your accommodation in the city centre where you have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure.
Day 2 - Cape Town
Cape Peninsula Tour Today you will be taken on a full day guided tour of the Cape Peninsula, visiting Campsbay, Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Penguin Colony, Kalkbay, Muizenberg, a township tour and a wine estate. (B,L)
Day 3 - Cape Town
You have the choice today of going on a wine tasting tour, shark cage diving, paragliding or a host of other fun tours and activities. OR you can spend your day sightseeing, visiting the local markets or just lazing at the beach.
Garden route, Cape Town to Sedgefield
Garden Route – Cape Town to Sedgefield This morning you leave Cape Town and head into the Garden Route where you will go on a Safari to search for a host of wild animals including Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Giraffe and many others! After lunch you have a chance to go on a zip lignin and obstacle course before heading to Sedgefield where we stay right on the beach for the next 2 nights.

Garden Route – Sedgefield and Tsitsikamma via Knysna This morning we visit a local Farmer’s Market with fresh products and handmade crafts. You then have a choice to either visit an Elephant Sanctuary or a Monkey Sanctuary....
Garden Route – Sedgefield to Cape Town via Klein Karoo
Drive over the Outeniqua Mountain Pass into the Klein Karoo where you can go on an adventure tour of the Cango Caves through large chambers, and further along squeezing through tight spaces.
Day 7 - Cape Town to Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
Early morning flight to Johannesburg where you depart the urban jungle and discover the vast plains of the Kruger National Park where the Big Five roam. The Park is home to 150 species of mammal, including Africa’s famed Big Five....
Day 8 - Kruger National Park and surrounds
You have the once in a life time opportunity to go on a guided walking safari, an afternoon game drive as well as the ultimate full day Kruger safari. With luck there’ll be close encounters with lions, elephants and even a giraffe or two....
Day 10 - Depart Johannesburg
This morning you can spend at your leisure before being transferred to the airport.
