Solčavsko is a geographically enclosed area in the headwaters of the River Savinja in the upper Savinja valley. This exquisite area has three parallel Alpine valleys called Logarska Valley, Roban Edge and Matkov Edge, which are part of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and Karawanks. The natural beauty of these valleys is immense with peaks of more than 2000m towering above the picturesque landscape. There are great hiking trails that guide you through some of the most stunning scenery and breath-taking panoramic views that Slovenia has to offer. The Logarska valley especially is hailed as one of the most beautiful Alpine glacier valleys in Europe, with high mountain pastures and soaring mountains. Follow the hiking routes that take you past the waterfall Rinka, to the source of the river Savinja, where you can sip pristine Alpine water directly from the mountain.
