The eclectic city of Houston, Texas, is known for its incredible size, teeming population, and Southern hospitality. Take a tour around Houston’s underground tunnel system. This is a network of pedestrian walkways, 20ft below street level, that link 95 city blocks. Then visit the Kemah Boardwalk which is home to the 96ft-tall wooden rollercoaster called the Boardwalk Bullet. There's also a range of other attractions including a Ferris wheel, an observation tower, and a range of shops and restaurants. Houston is where space agency NASA was founded, so go to the Space Center Houston, which is connected to NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Here you can see the fascinating exhibits and find out how it feels to be in space! If you want some good food and live music before returning to your hostel, head to Last Concert Café for delicious Mexican food and a varied mix of music.
