Hostelling International Tripbook for

Fjords

28 Entries

Western Norway is home to some truly astounding scenery, with giant mountains diving several hundred metres into the ocean forming spectacular fjords - nature’s own work of art. This is a place so beautiful that the sun is reluctant to set, and the easily accessible fjords and mountains make activities such as hiking, glacier walks, fishing and cycling very popular here. We have many hostels in Fjord Norway too, so it’s easy to visit the best this region has to offer. Start in Bergen, the self-proclaimed Gateway to the Fjords. It's a lively city which has some of Norway’s finest nightlife and restaurants. Take a fjord cruise to experience some of the best fjords including The Sognefjord (the world’s second longest fjord), The Hardangerfjord and The Geirangerfjord. Then if you’re feeling adventurous try river rafting or glacier walking.
