How can I set up an account on hihostels.com?

During the booking process you will be asked to login or create a new account if you are a new customer. To create a new account you will be requested to enter your name and email address and to create a password. Please remember this password in order to login in the future.

To create an account before you make a booking, please select the Login link in the top righthand side of the Home page then click Create an account.

How can I log in to check/cancel my booking(s)?

In the top righthand side of the Home page, select Login. Please log in either using your email address and password or if your hihostels account is linked to your Facebook, Twitter or Google account then you can log in using the relevant tab.

Once logged in select Hi (your name) where the Login tab was previously and select Bookings in the dropdown list. Here you can check and cancel your current bookings and view any previous bookings.

I’ve forgotten my password - what should I do?

If you have forgotten your password, simply click on the Forgot password? button and follow the on-screen prompts.

Can I change my email address or other personal details?

In the top righthand side of the Home page, select Login. Please login either using your email address and password or if your hihostels account is linked to your Facebook, Twitter or Google account then you can log in using the relevant tab.

To change your email address, password, language or currency select Hi (your name) where the Login tab was previously and select Settings. Remember to save any changes you make.

To change all other personal details, select Hi (your name) where the Login tab was previously and select Profile. Please remember to save any changes you make.

Can I close my account?

Your account is only active if you have current or forthcoming bookings. At all other times your account is dormant but cannot be closed.

How can I create an account as a guest booker?

If you have booked as a guest booker you can create an account. However, please note, your existing bookings will not show. To view existing bookings, you will also need to contact HI directly, so that we can merge your accounts. You will then be able to view and cancel existing bookings directly.
