Qatar Youth hostels offer membership to individuals, however you do not need to be a member to stay at a QYH hostel.
1. Membership types
You can achieve QYH  membership by purchasing a (non-refundable) QYH membership: 
Associate Membership 
A Membership option for a limited period. This membership is categorized into Qataris & non-Qataris. Valid for all ages
The membership holder has a 10% discount when staying in QYH 
Associate membership cards may be useful when travelling overseas as some Hostelling International national associations may require you to present a youth membership card And enjoy the same privileges.
Membership is only valid for one year
You can request a card via QYH Customer Services or online.
2. Membership Card
We will issue all new members with a membership card. This card shall remain the property of QYH
From February 2019 we will supply digital cards as default for all Associate memberships.   QYH members will then be able to access a wide range of discounts and benefits not available via the standard QYH card.
old members are able to access the digital card and benefits for an annual fee of just 16.48$ . Upgrading to a digital card is not compulsory .
QYH  member benefits remain unchanged for non-digital card holders.
By accepting the Digital Membership Card you have agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions governing QYH
Refusal to adopt Digital Card
You can refuse to use the digital card and can instead request a plastic membership card from QYH Customer Services.
QYH members benefits remain unchanged for non-digital card holders, however you will not be able to access the additional member benefits
3. Becoming a member
Any person may become a member of QYH by :
- Signing the completed application form.
- Agreeing to abide by YHA’s values, rules and regulations.
- Paying the appropriate subscription fee.
- Submit a copy of your passport or ID card
- Approval of membership from the CEO of QYH
4. What we expect of you
- You must not act in a way that is prejudicial to the interests or reputation of QYH or contrary to QYH’s values, rules and regulations.
- As a QYH member, you are bound by YHA’s Constitution.  
- You agree to abide by the QYH Hostel Regulations
5. Privacy Policy
QYH values your privacy and take every step to ensure that your information remains confidential. This statement discloses what information we gather, how we use it, and how to correct or change it. We will comply with the of Law No. 13 of 2016 on the protection of privacy of personal data  when dealing with your personal information.

We do not collect private or personal information from this website, except where you willingly provide it. Additionally, if you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence.

- Contact information including email and postal addresses
- Billing or purchase information
We collect this information in order to:
Complete bookings through our secure server
Respond to communications from you, including any requests or complaints
Provide services and products to you, including newsletters .

We will obtain your consent for us to use your personal data. We will use it in accordance with this website privacy statement.

We will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your permission. We will never rent or sell your personal information.

A Institution or entity  who can require us to supply your information (for example, a regulatory authority)

Protecting your information
All transactions and membership data collection are carried out over a secure certified site. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. We restrict staff access to credit card details. We will remove your information from our systems once it is no longer required for your booking.
While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via email or customer response form.
Storing your information
We keep your information safe by storing it securely in our Qatar based data centre and only allowing certain staff to see it.
When you become a QYH member, your contact details and membership preferences are stored for the duration of your membership, plus:
- Two years after expiry for Qatar resident members
- One year after expiry for membership
Viewing or updating your information
You have a right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you.
You may edit any personal information by contacting us via phone or email. Your information can be updated, corrected, or deleted at your request at any time.
We do however use cookies for the following purposes:
To enable the use of the secure booking and membership ordering process
To identify whether you are a returned user and may have products stored from a previous visit

You may request your details are deleted at any time; however any such request will effectively terminate your membership.
6. Further information
- You must pay your membership fee in full at the time of application.
- Fees are quoted in American dollars or Qatari Riyal 
- Your membership will commence on the day we receive your application and it will continue until the relevant end period.
- Your membership is non-transferable to anyone else.
- The CEO Of QYH may refuse membership to any person. The CEO of QYH is not required to state the reason for such refusal.
- You may resign your membership at any time by writing to or emailing QYH Customer services.  We will not provide you with a refund.
