YHA Truleigh Hill

This hostel sits within the boundaries of the newly designated South Downs National Park and so offers a good base for walkers and cyclists. There are a variety of routes to choose from, but one of guests’ favourites is the Devil’s Dyke walk that leads you to an Iron Age fort. Families with youngsters will also be comfortable here, as cots, highchairs and a child-oriented menu are available.This hostel has extensive grounds and sea views over the countryside to the coast 3 miles away.Walk and visit the ancient historical sites of Cissbury Ring and Chanctonbury Ring, take in pretty villages on the way, such as Steyning with its traditional Sussex architecture and lovely cafes. Devil’s Dyke is only a couple of miles walk away, an historic summit dropping steeply away to the pretty village of Fulking.
