Welcome to our hostel

Experience a blend of old and new at YHA Springfield in New Zealand. This friendly hostel with great service has been family owned and operated since 1986.

Facilities include great library, indoor-outdoor living and TV/video lounge. Winter favourites at the hostel include Japanese bath and kotatsu (heated lounge table). There is a ski tune up room, drying room and meals in the restaurant. Japanese meals are cooked on request. This hostel also has full recycling facilities to minimize their carbon footprint.

The surrounding area offers plenty to see and do – from skiing to hiking and mountain biking, outdoor enthusiasts will love this place. Transport can be provided to the ski fields. Get an advice on where to go bouldering around Castle Hill - the hostel has climbing mats for rental and a mini climbing wall to practise on.
