'Still the best in town' - Rough Guide

Welcome to YHA Nelson - five star, award winning, purpose built and central!

Nelson's YHA is a popular, comfortable hostel in the heart of the city. The sunny garden and dining area compliment the high quality kitchens and lounges. Use the hostel as a convenient base for visiting Nelson's attractions or simply relax with a selection from the (extensive) free video library. Hostel features:

- Sauna available.
- Guitar and pianos available (free).
- Many games free for your use.
- Heated rooms and extra blankets, pillows & hot water bottles available at no extra charge.
- Airport shuttle picks up from the front door.
- Free luggage storage available.

We are in the centre of town, so handy to the local cafe's and supermarkets. A short walk to the local bars. Party in town - relax in the comfort and security of the hostel.

To do in Nelson:

Discover the home of 'Wearable Art', explore the Abel Tasman and two other National Parks, enjoy a wine or craft tour and treat yourself at the renowned Nelson market (beside the hostel every Saturday). Experience the thrill of the unique 'Skywire', parachute or paraglide, enjoy a mountain bikers mecca, or kayak the coastline and hike for a lifetime. Discover why Nelson is one of the most popular places to live in New Zealand. All of these activities and more can be booked at reception, just ask our friendly staff.

Green rating

I suggest YHA include quality of and convenience of internet access (cable, Wifi) in their surveys, as this is very important to most users/members. Quality of internet access at Nelson YHA was fair.
