Welcome to our hostel

Wensleydale is famous for two things: its natural beauty and cheese. Come and sample both with a stay at Hawes. The hostel is situated in a quaint market town and well-placed for those wanting to sample a slice of Yorkshire life. The town has many cafes and craft workshops and the Dales Countryside Museum explains the history of local trades. Tickle your taste buds at the Wensleydale Creamery and learn how cheese is made. For those wanting a physical challenge then pedal along the Dales Cycle Way or scramble your way around Lady Ann Clifford’s Highway. The Pennine Way passes very closed by so the hostel is a perfect stop-off for ramblers. While you’re here be sure to take in Hardraw Force, England’s highest unbroken waterfall.
