Welcome to our hostel

This hostel offers access to some of the best walking in Wales. Choose gentle strolls alongside the Brecon and Monmouth Canal or ascend across the spectacular ridges and peaks of Pen-y-Fan (2,907 feet) and Corn Du (2,863 feet). Guided walks are organised by the National Park between April and October. Cosy accommodation greets your return to the hostel, an 18th century Welsh farmhouse set in 15 acres of ancient woodland.

As a life time member of youth hostels I should get discount on my booking, but staff told me as I booked through hihostel I will not get any discount. Please look into it.

Other than some horrendous snoring, it was a fantastic getaway for me. I'll definitely do it again.

Too warm to sleep well because of the duvet but otherwise, a very nice stay. Rather a good location for hiking. Can't say much about Green Ratio because I don't recall much related to it.

It's a really great atmosphere to be surrounded by fellow hikers in such a beautiful setting. The staff is wonderful as is the fireplace on a chilly day. The only downside is that the drying room does not work as well as one would hope.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. We had dinner one night and the food was very good! Lots of it at a reasonable price. The shower was big and plenty of hot water. The private room for 2 was tiny but we didn't stay in there much anyway! The drying rooms weren't"working", something to do with the heaters in there? That would be the only thing I would have changed. The staff was very kind and helpful, and genuine.
