Welcome to our hostel

Located only 20 minutes from the city centre, Vienna Brigittenau is a modern hostel which backs on to the Donauinsel - an island in the Danube which offers a variety of leisure activities and hosts Donauinselfest, one of Europe's largest open air festivals. The ‘Millennium City’, with its numerous shops and leisure facilities, is just a stone’s throw away.

The hostel offers dorm rooms with 2-6 beds, most en-suite, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, a large garden, a lounge with cable TV and other entertainment equipment, Internet terminals and an underground garage with 25 parking spaces. Daily meals are also served, offering a selection of good home cooking and vegetarian dishes.

Hostel Brigittenau is ideally located for visiting the sights of Vienna, whether it’s the historic centre with its beautiful architecture, Baroque castles and gardens or The Kunsthistorisches Museum of Fine Arts.

I liked the staff, very friendly and helpful, and the reception area. The pillows were awful (bit lumpy) and the wifi incredibly intermittent and not such a good range.

Breakfast was good however the hostel wasn't very sociable.I was travelling with afriend and found it hard to mix with other people as most were large school groups & there were no hostel activities in the evenings. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel. The staff were not very good at giving at tips on what to see/do in Vienna. As we were there for only two nights we wanted to get lots of things done but we didn't know what!Location was ok but it still took a 20 min tram to get into the centre.
