Ideal hostel for people who like hiking in the wonderful surrounding nature and visiting interesting places.

It is way up the fairly steep hill from the bus stop (get off at "Vianden - Bréck" and go back around the corner, up the hill). Keep this in mind if you have luggage. Otherwise, it's in a nice area, close to the castle. One thing that was odd for me was that the showers are shared - three showers, one wall, no partitions. They also lock up most of the common spaces when they aren't there, so I felt like there wasn't much of a community aspect. The staff was very friendly and helpful though.

As all of the HI Hostels, it is a beautiful building in a great location, the picturesque, Luxembourg. I recommend staying here to enjoy nature, take bicycle tours, hike, etc. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and of course a great buffet breakfast is included with your stay.

Good hostel, but not the vibe and atmosphere I expected based on the rating on the comparing websites. The location, next to the castle, is great. Vianden is beautiful. And there's lots to do and see in there. Especially if you like hiking and cycling. The downside for us was that we got a 12-bed dormitory (private) instead of the double room we booked.
