Welcome to our hostel

Welcome to a quiet and cozy hostel, located right on the beautiful plains of the history, culture and natural beauty around the corner. Northern Europe's finest bird lake Tåkern is just a few hundred meters away and you can sit down in our lovely garden with a cup of coffee and enjoy the wild and fantastic bird life.
Omberg, probably one of Sweden's most popular nature reserve with its deep forests, and miles of trails is a great place to just walk around and enjoy the view over the fields or the crystal clear waters of lake Vättern.
At the foot of Omberg is one of Sweden's first agricultural areas, and from there spread awareness across the country. This is also the place where Sweden's first monastery, Alvastra was founded in the 12th century by Saint Bridget of Sweden. Our first and only saint. The area around the lake Tåkern is also the place where the first Swedish king was born and grew up, Birger Jarl. It was also he who later founded our current capital, Stockholm
