YHA Thredbo

YHA Thredbo, located in the heart of Australia’s premier alpine village, is a cosy purpose-built lodge with fireplace and views over the mountain and ski-fields. In Winter, come and ski the slopes. In Summer, mountain bike, hike or explore the beauty of the Snowy Mountains. You can even climb Australia’s highest mountain, Mt Kosciuszko, National Park Entry Fee is payable when entering the park by private car or bus. Getting to the hostel: 1 hour drive or bus from Cooma Airport. 2.5 hours from Canberra Airport. 400 metres to bus stop. Alpinexpress operates daily buses Canberra to Thredbo return May – October. Murrays Coaches and Greyhound Buses offer regular daily services in winter only. No parking at YHA. A designated luggage drop off zone is located at the front of the YHA. It is strictly 10 mins and a $300 fine applies for exceeding this limit. Foot access via Jack Adams Pathway or through public car park. 5 minute vehicle drop off only. Access is from Buckwong Place (off Diggings Terrace). All vehicles must enter and leave the drop off area in a forward direction. Overnight parking available nearby.
