Takayama – Hida-Takayama-Tensho YH

Hida-Takayama-Tensho YH is centrally located with morning market and banks of Miya River, flowing through the centre of the town, within 10 min walk. The hostel is a part of Tenshoji Buddhist Temple built in the late12th century.The hostel has a courtyard with a fireplace, vending machines, computer space and a garden. Dorm rooms are held in Japanese style with tatami mats and traditional bedding. Hida-Takayama-Tensho YH welcomes all travellers and makes them feel the culture of Japan in a relaxing environment. Takayama town is called “little Kyoto” and has a long history and culture reflected in traditional oriental architecture and festivals. Takayama Festival is held in April and October. Other activities for travellers are day trips to a World Heritage of Shirakawa Go, Oku Hida Hot Spring, Mt. Norikura and Kamikochi. Getting to the hostel: Theres parking for 7 cars. Walk from JR Takayama Station 15 minutes 5 minutes by taxi (about 800 JPY) There are parkings for 7 cars . From JR Takayama station walk for 20 minutes (1km). Or 5 minutes by taxi.
