Swellendam Backpackers Adventure Lodge lie at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, a short walk to our Two Feathers Horse Riding stables in the Marloth Nature Reserve. Walking trips for beginners and trot canter outrides for advanced riders.
Hiking Trails in the Reserve takes you to the top of the mountain to enjoy the Cape Mountain Fynbos with uninterrupted views or up little pathways to hidden waterfalls in indigenous forests. Mountain Biking on beginner, intermediate and advanced trails at its best.
Swellendam is the perfect place to set up base camp and explore the surrounds of Cape Agulhas, the southern most tip of Africa, Robertson Wine Route, Malgas, Buffeljachts, with much to offer a variety of activities. Resting between the Langeberg Mountains and the N2 highway, approximately 240km from both Cape Town and George, Swellendam is the perfect choice for a halfway stopover and as a base from which to explore the area.
