Stumble Inn Backpackers Lodge has been around since 1994, the original backpacker accommodation in the Western Cape wine lands near Cape Town. Stellenbosch is the ideal place to start or end your "Garden Route" tour. Its proximity to the airport makes it an easy 30 minute trip with no traffic worries. There are many ways to enjoy the wine lands from driving yourself, cycling, taking a tour to pub crawling the night away in this lively university town. The hostel offers many tours and activities to make your stay exceptional.
Being a backpackers lodge, we have various options of overnight accommodation. Dormitories include bunk beds, including fresh sheets, which are in lockable rooms (normally 6 beds per room). Most backpackers have sleeping bags, however bedding is available if you arrive without. Double rooms have a comfy double bed with all linen provided. Camping is in the shady garden and limited to about 5 tents. All bathroom facilities are shared and cleaned daily. There are two kitchens with fridges, and all the necessary equipment to self-cater. Other facilities include a public phone, computers with Internet access, a pool table, swimming pool, coffee bar, Satellite TV and lockers. Great breakfasts are available daily cooked to order.
Many restaurants are within walking distance as well as an abundance of entertainment from movies to diamond buying to curio shopping. Horse riding, mountain biking, strawberry picking, brandy tasting and awesome wine estates peppered with fresh fruit from farms in this incredibly fertile, mountainous region. Our on-site travel agent Clive at Shiraz Travel will help you plan your trip, book the best car hire, issue you with local and international air tickets – email him at email@example.com if you have anything that needs sorting now.

Très bon accueil.

A pleasant stay at this simple hostel, which was a good place to meet people and a safe bed for the night. Staff were friendly and check-in / check-out was efficient. It's due for more than a coat of paint though and our room could have benefitted from a deep clean.
