Stayokay Amsterdam Zeeburg hostel is situated east of the centre in a typical Amsterdam neighbourhood. Housed in a former school dating from about 1900, visitors can enjoy ultra-modern facilities in a classical setting.

The hostel is ideally suited to accommodate groups, providing access to various multifunctional areas within the building. The bedrooms are spacious, have private bathrooms, and all rooms are designed by the famous Dutch designer Edward van Vliet. The hostel also has its own restaurant and shares the building with a cinema and theatre – a truly fantastic entertainment combination!

At Amsterdam Zeeburg the city’s must-see attractions are a short 15-minute cycle or tram ride away. Take a tour of the canals by boat, visit world famous museums or head off shopping along the colourful Kalverstraat. And there’s always plenty to do at the hostel in the evening!

Pros Staff was friendly and helpful Cons Wasn't made clear that breakfast was free, didn't know till checkout day other guests are extremely rude, stumbling into the room anywhere from 2am - 5 am, talking to each other in loud/normal voices or taking a shower at 2 in the morning It should be made clearer there is nowhere to store your gear unless you want to pay. 2 Euros to rent a locker I can't even fit my laptop in is completely pointless, didn't want to pay 10 euros a day so I had to carry my gear
