Hostel Stavanger St.Svithun is a modern hostel with a central location. It provides the perfect base to access both fjords and mountains and is 15-20 minutes walking distance from the town centre, where you can stroll along the cobbled streets and enjoy the shopping.

All rooms have a shower, TV and free Wi-Fi, there’s a free breakfast, an onsite café called Café Morgenrød which serves hot and cold dishes all year round, a popular outside terrace and a shop which is conveniently located at the entrance to the hostel and is open 24 hours a day.

The city of Stavanger has a bustling street life and nature is never far away. Take a boat trip on Lysefjorden to Preikestolen or Kjerag, or there are many great walks close to the hostel including around Mosvannet Lake or in the Våland gardens.

NOT a youth hostel but a hotel in middle of a major hospital. Very difficult to find - no road signs directing to YH and building and reception desk signage easy to miss vs. hotel and hospital signs. Parking hard to find and expensive (more than station). Public areas shared with patients (some on trolleys/wheelchairs and connected to drips!), medical staff and visitors Immediately adjacent to air ambulance helipad in regular VERY noisy use during daylight hours (necessary, but not expected at YH).

Where next?

Bergen mit Bus (ca. 5h Fahrt), lohnt sich sehr! Von Bergen in einer Stunde in Voss, dort kann man viele extrem Sportarten wie Skydiving oder Riverrafting (super toll!!) machen.
