Hostel Skógar is situated in an old school, close to Skógafoss, one of the best known waterfalls in Iceland. Skógar is a popular place surrounded by great and varied nature - think glaciers, mountains, black beaches, green acres, forested areas, waterfalls and good hiking routes.
At the hostel you will find a common room to meet other travellers in, a TV room to chill out and watch a movie, a garden so you can sit outside when the weather’s good and a self-catering kitchen to cook your meals in – alternatively Anna’s Café nearby is the most favoured restaurant.
Skógar Hostel is a great stop over for those who are hiking over Fimmvörðuháls, which is one of the most popular routes in the country. The nearby Skógar Museum is also one of the most frequently visited of its kind in Iceland.
