Shimamaki Youth Hostel is surrounded by nature such as the biggest beech forest in Japan, the Garo waterfall, Mount Kariba and Obira. During your stay enjoy picking some wild strawberries,  mushrooms or take part in a fishing tour or ceramics workshop. The hotel was built in 1995 with artisan wood furniture and tableware. The homemade meals are popular with guests, especially fresh fish caught by owner!
