Welcome to our hostel

In a town full of culture and the arrival and departure point for the Norröna ferry, Seyðisfjörður hostel is housed in two different wooden buildings – one just outside the village facing the harbour (Hafaldan Harbour), and another in the centre of town (Hafaldan old Hospital). Made up of multi-coloured wooden houses and surrounded by snow-capped mountains and cascading waterfalls, picturesque Seyðisfjörður is a unique and interesting town in east Iceland that travellers should not miss out on. With only 600 inhabitants it’s a friendly place with a community of artists, musicians and craftspeople. You´ll find nice restaurants, arts and craft markets, galleries and museums. Marked hiking trails to the nearest fjords, sea angling, mountain hiking and sea kayaking are of major attractions.
