If location, location, location is what you want, then Seoul International Youth Hostel is the place to stay. Located in Namsan Park, very close to the downtown area, Namsangol Traditional Korean Village and N-Seoul Tower are a 10 minute walk and Cheonggyecheon recreational park is a 15 minute walk.

Facilities include restaurant, self-catering kitchen, Internet access, laundry, rock-climbing site and a free pick up service by way of reservation. For a little bit of fun the hostel organises a ‘Gangnam Style’ tour! See the history of the Gangnam district and how much the area has changed.

Dongdaemun, Namdaemun Market, Insa dong and Gyeongbok Palace are all 10 minutes by subway. Also visit the Namsan Park which is one of the biggest parks in Seoul.

The best hostel I ever stayed in; very clean, friendly staff. I stayed in a female dorm with bathroom in each room. I never stayed in any hostel with separate bathroom for each room. You don't have to get out of your room to use bathroom. I will definitely stay here again. It is quite close to Chungmuro subway station but the road to get there is quite complicated. Probably, the hostel could describe the direction better in their website (with route diagram will be much better)
