Pucón - Refugio Península is located in the south eastern corner of the region and offers tourist facilities of international level. It is located near the lakes Villarrica, Huilipilún, Colico, Caburgua and Calafquén Lagos, and the path that connects us with the Argentina through the border crossing of Mamuil Malal. Its landscape is very attractive - wooded vegetation, hills, national parks and most important - the imposing volcano Villarrica. The area includes the urban centres of Villarrica, Pucón and Lican Ray, all with a lovely feel and great for tourists.

The worst HI experience ever. I booked online, paid a deposit and received a confirmation email. After travelling for 9 hours i arrived and they had no record of my reservation. I asked for help finding another hostel but the man at reception said he was going out to a show! I tried to find other accomodation that night but it was 9pm and Pucon was full. I had to sleep at the hostel in the kitchen diner area! I have emailed HI Chile but still have not replied to me! Not good.

Alvaro's partner Paolo has been fantastically helpful! We had many questions and concerns (with our rental car mostly) and he was always there to answer them.
