We turned up late on a winter night to find the hostel open for us and wonderfully cosy. We were the only occupants that night. An excellent conversion from the old school buildings. We shall return for another stay. Thank you to Robert.

I was disappointed to find nobody there when I arrived, and to be tiol the warden was on Holiday even though I had booked to stay, I was lucky to locate the cleaner to tell me the door code so I could get in, it was very cold and no heating on, but there was hot water in the taps, next morning I tried to find who to pay but to no avail, so I left a cheque on the table with my booking slip, otherwise the hostel was very clean, and tidy and the beds were made and I enjoyed my stay

I'm really sorry about this. If you have not received a code for the door before you arrive, as we say clearly on the website, please, please contact us, as it means, for one reason or another your booking has not registered.

We really enjoyed our brief stay, the hostel is comfortable and homely and has every convenience. Beds are good,as are showers. The location is beautiful, rabbits abound. Can't think of a thing to improve the place - it's a delight.

I had a fantastic week-end staying at Prosen which is a very cosy place and really enjoyed the fireplace. The only suggestion I would have is perhaps to provide some kitchen towels if possible because when we washed our stuff, we could only let our clean dishes in the draining area to dry. So I don't know what is best, but it's food for thought. Everything else was first class. Many thanks. Christele

The hostel is nice, but far away from the next town and bus. It's not clear for everyone that you have to bring your own food (including breakfast!). The owner of the hostel didn't arrive on the first day. On the second day, he was there but only for maintenance and didn't enter the building. On the third (and last) day he came in just for 'collecting money'. I was there by public transport (to Kirriemuir and then by taxi). I had luck that there were two french guys with a car.

I'm not sure which bit of this you could not have got from the advertised details. It is a hostel, not a hotel.
