Welcome to our hostel

DOWNTOWN BEDS is the newest and trendiest hostel in Mexico City, located right in the heart of Centro Histórico. Established in a 17th century palace, the hostel is surrounded by major attractions of the city. It’s “a one stop shop” for those travelers looking for fun, culture, quality and relax.
There is a screening room, a 'chela' garden and a street food mexican 'fonda' in the same premises. For those bed users who enjoy views and sunshine.
The terrace bar and pool area (available with minimum consumption of 250 mexican pesos), located in the roof top of the building was totally remodeled to create a contemporary and very comfortable atmosphere with stunning views to iconic buildings of Mexico city.
How does it work? You get into DOWNTOWN BEDS and as soon as you check-in you start making the most of your stay while enjoying the beer patio, projection room, “echadero” and the “fonda” of typical Mexican food. We are a great example of flexible hospitality. Just let it flow!, Check in at 15:00

Positive: this is the quietest, most ascetic hostel I've ever visited. If you prefer peace and quiet, and just want to be with your Macbook and iPhone without activity around you, this is the place for you! Negative: the lighting in the common areas is so dim I saw even staff tripping. The door on my private room did not have a separate lock that could be locked from inside when you were in your room. This made the room less secure while sleeping.

We liked you having bikes. That we could not use the pool the way we wanted, was a pity (i.e. it was closed one day and we had to pay the other day.) The payment itself was no problem because it was absolutely value for money. But for just a dive after a long day out in the city it was a bit much.

As I wrote before, I enjoy this hostel, especially the minimalist design aspect. However, sorry, but, I've got to point out that the TV projector is still not working, and this certainly makes it more that a week, more like two, that it hasn't been. The staff would not commit to a time that it will be fixed, so I believe it's only fair to withdraw "TV Room" from your attraction list.
