The people there were awesome! and so helpful! one of the nicest hostels with the coolest vibe and character! There wasn't many people there when we were there but Shetland isn't exactly the nicest weather outside of tourist season :P we were really lucky though!.

I was very lucky in that I had the whole hostel to my self for most of the week, but the place was still meticulously cleaned every day and the staff were always helpful and friendly. The security lockers are a simple idea which I wish other hostels would copy. It seems a bit churlish to suggest that bedhead lights would be useful, but not if it would mean damage to the magnificent interior décor of this well maintained beautiful old building.

A great hostel warden was good and a mine of local information. The hostel had plenty of space even when it was full and it is near the centre of town.
