Surrounded by nature, Huhtiniemi camping site also runs a summer hostel, which is next to Finnhostel Lappeenranta. The summer hostel is located in a beautiful red wooden house, featuring two 6-bedded dormitories: one for men and the other for women. The rooms are spacious and get lots of daylight. Hostel guests can also use the other buildings around the yard, the cooking shelter and the barbeque areas. There are also a beach and saunas nearby. A roomy licensed cafe&restaurant is open to guests in the main building, next to Reception.

We are located right on the shore of Lake Saimaa, close to Lappeenranta town centre. You can easily reach us, either by car or public transport.

What travellers think


Old and uncomfortable beds, thin matraces,old building, no sheets. Fantastic camp landscape with rich greenery and fresh air. Hovewer for 15E per person per night its probably the only cheap choice around. Visit Lappenranta, it is beautifull!

It isn't hostel really. No bedclothes (or paid disposable paper bedclothes). No internet. Shower and WC are in the separate building.
