Tapion Tupa

Tapion Tupa is located in Kalajoki sand dunes. Tapion Tupa is a rustic dining, meeting, and vacation spot, offering diverse accommodation options from individual travelers to groups.

Built with a reverence for old values, Tapion Tupa’s courtyard boasts 15 log buildings, with the oldest, a small shed, dating back to the 18th century. Additionally, Tapion Tupa features its own water park called Tapioland and a year-round open caravan area. Rotating art exhibitions are a regular feature, and the venue also hosts various celebrations and events. The company is rooted in Finnish identity and local produce. The restaurant serves homemade local cuisine, while the shop sells regional products and groceries. Buildings and the water park are heated using domestic wood chips, and solar panels contribute to electricity generation.

The courtyard includes the main building, Retkeilyhotelli Pytinki, with all rooms featuring a toilet and shower, Wäentupa, a traditional half-timbered house, and various sizes of aittas (traditional Finnish outbuildings). Some accommodation options are available only in summer, and the included services vary depending on the type of accommodation.

We organize trips to nature and forest huts, providing delightful meals or coffee in the midst of the wilderness. Tapion Tupa also offers handicrafts, gifts, and souvenirs from local producers. There’s also an electric vehicle charging station within the courtyard.
