There wasn't hot water for the shower, electrical plugs in the room and the hostel administrator wasn't open to dialog at the moment to make suggestions

hard work to climb up the hill on Sun Island - but than the best view for the lake and the snow peaks !! -- has what it needs - not much water, but understandable

Although me and two more friends booked more then two months in advance, we never got to stay there. When we arrived, all the doors were locked, there was no one inside. When asking the neighbours about it, we were told that there was a marriage going on in the island that day, and the owners of the Inca Pacha Hostel were invited and wouldn't come back soon. We never got any type of warning about it, nor the reservation was canceled, so we had to look for another place to stay in a hurry.

The lady working at the hostel was amazingly sweet and easy to talk to. She also cooked us some fantastic food. The place was small and clean, and cozy. We had a breathtaking view of the lake and the Andes. We even watched the sunrise over the mountains from our bed. Indeed you will pass other hostels on the way up the stairs, but the view from Inca Pacha made it worth it. One thing that was strange was the non-flushing toilets, but I understand water conservation is a big deal on the island.
