Very accommodating staff. Unbeknownst to me, hostel practice is to close down at daytime (10AM-4PM), which caught me by surprise (and also why I rated "efficiency of service" fair). However, I was in a pinch since I needed to change for a wedding while the hostel was closed. The staff made an exception and kept it open for me. That's good service!

The Victorian House is beautiful, the stained glass stunning, the staff friendly, helpful and well informed, the renovated kitchen/dining in the basement spacious and well lighted. The walk into town passes some attractive houses, churches and businesses. Donna Baird, Ann Arbor, MI

After recent remodel, esp. kitchen, GREAT accommodations. Prior digs were very good but a bit dingy. I stayed here 4 previous years and was quite happy, but this year was very pleasantly surprised. Nice people, helpful. No internet, but library downtown is only an easy bus trip away.
