HI Syracuse is a perfect base for exploring the history and natural beauty of central New York State.

Located in an 1895 mansion just a mile from downtown Syracuse, this seasonal hostel is convenient to the Erie Canal Museum, Amory Square, and Syracuse University. HI Syracuse is a popular base for those attending the New York State Fair in August, a convenient stopover for travellers on I-90 and I-81 and a good starting and ending point for adventures in the Finger Lakes region.

Cyclists are welcome. Due to its small staff, the hostel has a lockout period from 10am to 4pm each day.
There is no curfew. Open dates for the 2016 season: June 1-September 4

The Victorian House is beautiful, the stained glass stunning, the staff friendly, helpful and well informed, the renovated kitchen/dining in the basement spacious and well lighted. The walk into town passes some attractive houses, churches and businesses. Donna Baird, Ann Arbor, MI
