I really enjoyed my stay! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I liked the little things like the small shelf with a power cord next to each bed. The only big discomfort was due to the construction next door; the noise at 7:00 am and the inconvenience of having to walk through the basement of the 2nd building were mildly irritating.

The location is great - very central! I stayed in the "extra" building, but i liked the dorm style room I stayed in with 6 beds, in 3 little areas, with one bathroom and an extra in the hall. I also thought it was very convenient to have our own lockers in our room. The kitchen was fully equipped, although I didn't use it. I wish there was a bit more of a "living room" type area, where people could hang out together. Less of a table area.

Overall a good hostel in a decent enough location, the staff were awesome and helped with everything especially recommending what to do and where to go in portland. The breakfast was nice and fresh from the bakery around the corner which was a nice touch.
