It would be better to have lockers in rooms instead of in coomon/laundry area out back.

While it isn't the most comfortable hostel bed I've ever stayed in, I slept well - or would have, were it not for conditions outside of HI's control. There was this guy - I've never heard someone snore so loud. Do you provide earplugs? I didn't ask - but if you do, that's awesome. Other than that it was great. Lots of resources, local newspapers, free coffee, tea, and PANCAKES! That was cool. Great neighborhood location too. Would definitely stay again.

We're sorry about the loud snorer! That happens from time to time and is just part of the hostel experience. Hostellers have been known to wake snorers up to politely see if they could change positions, etc. since it's a very communal atmosphere. We DO sell ear plugs at the front desk that typically alleviate most of the sounds for most people. Glad the pancakes cheered you up in the morning! -Leah, Hostel Staff

Welcoming was warm and sincere. Free ipad appreciated. Breakfast great. One large table helps facilitate meeting and chatting with other people. Staff helpful, efficient and patient. The bathroom sink off the kitchen always dingy -- same dirt for three days. Brighter lights needed in desk area Shower was cold water. A bulletin board would enable guests to find companions for an event or to connect with rides.

Thanks for all your helpful and positive feedback. We're glad you liked using the iPad, it's new and there for all guests to plan their adventures! Sorry you felt the place was dirty, unfortunately because it's an old house... it's hard to make it look clean, but our staff diligently and very thouroughly cleans every single day, so rest assured it is clean! Thanks again for your thoughtful comments and we hope you have safe travels onward! -Leah, Hostel Staff
