Welcome to our hostel

HI-Point Reyes is two miles from the ocean in a secluded valley on Point Reyes National Seashore, known for its abundant flora and fauna, including bobcats, fox, deer and elk, harbor seals, and sea lions. The varied habitat, unique coastal climate, and location draw a rich and diverse array of breeding and migrating birds.

Point Reyes National Seashore juts far out into the path of migrating gray whales, and Point Reyes Lighthouse, 25 miles from the hostel, is the best place in the Bay Area for whale watching January-April. Bear Valley Visitor Center, eight miles away, has informative displays on the area's geological, natural, and native history. Hiking trails leave from the hostel grounds.

Point Reyes hostel offers the following services and amenities to their guests:

* Free on-site parking
* Baggage and bicycle storage
* Secure lockers
* Interpretive displays and information about the surrounding area.
Great stay, staying yearly. Like staying in the big hse, first time. Lower bunk closest to the exit, dips in the middle uncomfortable had to place a pillow in the center of the bed to prop up my back. Neon exit sign very bright all night next to bunk beds. I don't remember the same bright light in your eyes all night in the female dorm. Other than the 2 issues, great stay. 2 ladies staffing the desk, professional, welcoming & helpful.

Had a very nice stay at the hostel. Met some interesting people there who I now keep in touch with. The hostel was clean, quiet and very home-like. I usually take about 5 or more friends with me when I visit Pt. Reyes, but this year it was only 1 friend. It was his first time in a hostel and he enjoyed it. Can't think of any improvements although I'm sure others may have some suggestions for you.

We needed to check in early (we were booked for a night paddle on Tomales Bay and needed to be in Marshall by 5pm). The host at your hostel accommodated us and we were able to check in, drop off our things, and make it to Nicks Cove just in time. I am ever so grateful for the extra effort she put in to make our stay incredible. My husband did not sleep well due to the volume of the snoring and the night trips to the bathroom in his dorm. But I slept very well and had zero problems.
