Welcome to our hostel

HI-Point Reyes is two miles from the ocean in a secluded valley on Point Reyes National Seashore, known for its abundant flora and fauna, including bobcats, fox, deer and elk, harbor seals, and sea lions. The varied habitat, unique coastal climate, and location draw a rich and diverse array of breeding and migrating birds.

Point Reyes National Seashore juts far out into the path of migrating gray whales, and Point Reyes Lighthouse, 25 miles from the hostel, is the best place in the Bay Area for whale watching January-April. Bear Valley Visitor Center, eight miles away, has informative displays on the area's geological, natural, and native history. Hiking trails leave from the hostel grounds.

Point Reyes hostel offers the following services and amenities to their guests:

* Free on-site parking
* Baggage and bicycle storage
* Secure lockers
* Interpretive displays and information about the surrounding area.
* Wheelchair accessibility
When the weather is nice, guests can also take advantage of the outdoor patio with picnic tables and barbecue.

This was an amazing hostel . It's nestled in to woods and just a delight . The staff was extremely friendly as were the other guests. Everything was very organized and clean. The wood and light sage green design was very soothing. The beauty of the park is astounding. The National Parks are really the best of America. Don't miss this place! It's a winner!

The staff are very friendly and ready to strike up a conversation. These are locals! What comes next is how fantastic the kitchen is! I was absolutely surprised. The beds are very comfortable, they provide colorful bedding. It's nice to enjoy a hot cup of tea while looking out at the mountains through the large windows. The lobby has a cabin like atmosphere and tons of books to read! My visit was amazing, the miles of hikes are spectacular, and this is a true gem of a place for the outdoors.

Everything was great. Nancy was very friendly and showed me around the facility. Good kitchen - lots of refrigerator space. Good security - door lock code changes daily. Very clean and comfortable w/ sheets, blankets & towel. Nice common areas & patio outside. Great stay - great staff - nice hostel. The park is beautiful and it is easy to visit Point Reyes Station for restaurants and shopping if you have a car. I especially recommend Chimney rock and the point Tomales trails.
