HI Parque das Nações – Pousada de Juventude

This part of Lisbon has been renovated and is now modern and lively with lots of things to see and do. Young people are absolutely thrilled with the new possibility to watch huge concerts in Pavilhão Atlântico and visit the theme pavilions and Lisbon’s Oceanarium.

Facilities include free breakfast, TV room, café/bar, internet access, games room, and gardens. Lisbon Parque das Nações hostel was built in 1998 to accommodate young people from all over the globe who came to visit Expo 98. Expo 98 celebrates the 500th anniversary of Vasco da Gama’s voyage to India, which made Lisbon one of the world’s greatest seaports.

Definitely visit Sintra. Take a 30 minute train ride to Rossio station. The landscape is beautiful and the castles, Pena and Moorish are also impressive. Then you can scale the mountain on foot or by bus for fantastic views. Europe/London (+00:00)
