HI-Korea is a cheerful hostel just 3 minutes’ walk to Haeudae Beach in the bustling city of Busan. The bright and colourful hostel is a great place to meet and socialise with other travellers.
Dorm rooms include wooden bunk beds which were handmade by the owner and each include a pretty light and pair of curtains for privacy. Other amenities include shared bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, free use of laundry facilities, the Travel Café in the lobby, a guest kitchen and a delicious complimentary breakfast.
The hostel is just 600 metres from Dongbaek subway station and right next to a bus station giving easy access to all the main sights and attractions of Busan. Dongbaekseom, a woodland nature reserve, is a 10-minute walk away and Centum City, currently the biggest department store in the world, is 10 minutes away by public transport.
What travellers think
PROS: Helpful staff, comfortable bedding. Location is in Haeundae, but the building location is not in a nice place. CONS: The entry has a stairwell going down to the basement that is full of trash and looks very dirty. Breakfast could be presented better.
