As a backpacker I wish it was located much closer to the AT trail. There was no standard shuttle and if someone was to come out it would of been a steep $20! That is my only complaint. Everything else was fun!!

Enjoyed the comfort and friendliness of Harper's Ferry Hostel. I lucked out on free pizza night. Also very historic HF park.

Site manager Loretta was again most gracious and accommodating. This site is a great location once the twists and turns are navigated once or twice. View of Potomac River from the bluff was both refreshing and relaxing; place for a good read.

There was some maintenance going on the day I arrived which allowed a lot of insects to get in (moths, stinkbugs, etc.), but I totally understand and it was not a problem. The house manager went above and beyond to clean everything up. She is very kind in keeping food available to travelers who arrive unaware that there is no place to eat in a 15 mile radius after 6PM. I hope the remodeling goes smoothly, as does the summer season.
