HI Charlottetown Backpackers is a small hostel with the character and charm of vintage downtown home, upgraded for comfort, safety and ambience.

Relax after a day of touring on leather sofas, perhaps watching one of many DVDs on LCD TV over the fireplace. Or enjoy a beverage in the evening on a large deck. Just steps away, the recreation room features a custom made billiard table, free Internet workstations, book exchange, and MP3 docking stations, or you may listen to an extensive collection of vintage vinyl. The hostel provides free breakfast, free parking and bicycle rental.

In Charlottetown you will never be far from shopping, world class theatre, historic sites, and the most beautiful golf courses you have ever seen. Visit the Confederation Centre of the Arts to discover the best in Canadian visual and performing arts.

I was disturbed by ppl talking loudly after quiet hours--this was resolved after staff reinforced rules. Overall, great place and staff.

The wi-fi was fast and worked well. The kitchen was well-decorated and supplied, though a little small. However, there is a TV room nearby which you could use for socializing. This is probably the most well-labeled hostel I've seen. Everything has signs and labels explaining proper use. The bathrooms were clean. The location is excellent. The rooms utilize a code for unlocking the doors, which is convenient since there are no keys to lose. The lockers were small and would not hold my backpack.
