Very welcoming staff and manager. Extremely clean and well-oganized. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Met some very nice people from all over. We sat out by the campfire and watched a million stars. This is a lovey hostel I would highly recommend o other travelers.

This is the best hostel I've stayed in so far! The host Carmen is a super awesome dude, very friendly and funny. The hostel is very clean and well-run---it feels like staying at a friend's house. The view of the lake is spectacular, too!

I stayed a few nights and loved it! I spent one day at the lake kayaking, swimming and sitting in the sun. The next day I went hiking all day with a few other guests. They were all close by. The last day I spent at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. What a great few days! The place is the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at and I much preferred being in a 4 bed room than other places that have 6, 8 even 10 other people stuffed into them. All in all, my best experience in a hostel this year!

Due to its rural location, likewise most parts of Nova Scotia, it is essential to have own transport or car-pool with others. Impossible to move around without it.
