Located at the half way point of the Cabot Trail, surrounded by the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, the hostel is ideally situated for moose spotting and hiking the many trails offered in this 1000 square kilometre reserve. Walking distance to beach, shops, whale watching, restaurants, museum and harbour. Scenic views of the mountains. During the fishing season walk down to the harbour and purchase fresh lobsters or snow crab from the fishermen.

Dawn is awesome! The hostel is lovely. It definitely felt like home for a few days. One suggestion: see if there's some way to get better ventilation in the bunk house. When it was warm out, it got pretty unbearable in there.
