The scales above are not clear to me. Is a green rating good or bad? I have used green as good. ....I love HI hostels and choose them over other hostels. I appreciate the ethic related to HI hostels. This hostel was exceptional for the location and for the energy staff exerted to take care of hikers, and their diverse needs. People worked together in many ways and were helpful to me every time I need help. I would totally recommend this hostel to others and love to return if I had the opportunity. A big thank you to the staff.

About being green... a recycle bin would be nice! Had to throw my plastics into a landfill bin.
