Welcome to our hostel

HI – Bonavista, equipped with its own wind mill, is just a few kilometres away from beautiful cape Bonavista, where you can visit the lighthouse, the dungeon, hike one of the many trails, or just sit and watch the icebergs, whales and puffins.

Facilities include free Wi-Fi, free bicycle use, satellite television, laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, and much more.

The hostel is located just minutes from the Ryan Premises National Historic site, where you can learn about Newfoundland's fishing history. Also just minutes away is the Matthew Legacy Site, where you can take a tour on the replica of John Cabot's ship "The Matthew". The hostel is located close to restaurants and pubs where you can enjoy traditional Newfoundland food, such as toutons, fish cakes, and jiggs dinner, as well as a wide variety of seafood.

Bonavista is a wonderful place to stay -- friendly an d comfortable. Also, handy to the attractions of the town -- from museums to restaurants to just great walking. Also handy to the scenic light house, puffins, whale watching (from shore!), sea caves an more. Very enjoable

Take TransCanada # 1Hwy West toward Clarenville/Gander for 186km take exit 26 to NL 230 North to Catalina/ Bonavista for 103 km then turn left onto Hospital Rd (Bonavista) turn left onto Campbell St (which turns into John Cabot Dr) for 1 km - hostel will be on the right
