Located in the heart of downtown Baltimore City, HI Baltimore hostel is housed in an old refurbished mansion, nestled between the Washington Monument and the Inner Harbor. Within walking distance of everything Baltimore City has to offer, there’s also a free shuttle bus which stops a short distance from the hostel’s door and makes getting around a breeze.
This Baltimore hostel has large dormitory style rooms, a free daily pancake breakfast, free Wi-Fi, a large quiet common room, decking area and a TV room with cable television and movies. Be sure to check out the hostels free weekly events including pub crawls, movie nights, city tours, meal nights and poetry events.
HI Baltimore is surrounded by pubs, bars, nightclubs and restaurants, and it’s easy to get to the sport stadiums, Convention Center, National Aquarium and Maryland Zoo. Washington DC is also a 50 minute train ride away.
What travellers think
I stayed in the Hi-Baltimore during the past riots. I checked in on Sunday morning (4/26) and was supposed to check out on Wednesday (4/29). However, the riots erupted Monday night and there was cars burnt very close to the hostel. Every single hotel in Baltimore gave free refunds to their customers due to the riots, but Hi-Baltimore didn't. I checked out on Monday night itself and asked the management for refund, but they refused saying its a no refund policy. My worst experience ever.

I like that i meet lots of people from different culture and i have suggestion that once in night time the care taker should visit the rooms .
